The short version

Betty & Emyak asks for no account, shows no adverts, and contains no analytics or tracking of any kind. Everything a child does stays in the app's own storage on the device. We — the publisher — receive nothing. We could not identify a single user of this app if we wanted to.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no server. It sends no data to us and has no way to.

Verified in the shipped app: no analytics or advertising libraries are present, and the bundle contains no external web addresses at all — there is no endpoint for it to contact.

Stated explicitly, because these are the usual sources of an obligation

• No usage statistics or telemetry. We do not collect, receive or measure how

the app is used: no analytics service of any kind, and specifically **no Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or any comparable tool**. No event logging, no session tracking, no crash or performance reporting, no A/B testing.

• No counters reach us. The app does keep counters so a child can see their own

progress — XP, day streak, words practised, stories read, games played. Every one of them is written to this device's own storage and nowhere else. They are not transmitted, aggregated or reported, and we cannot see them. Verified in the shipped code: it contains no network request of any kind — no fetch, no XMLHttpRequest, no beacon.

• No membership and no user records. There is no registration, no sign-up, no

account, no username, no password, no e-mail address and no phone number. The "profiles" inside the app are simply names typed on this device so that siblings can keep separate progress; they are not accounts with us and no record of them exists anywhere but the device.

• No unique identifiers. No advertising ID, no device ID, no cookies, no

fingerprinting.

Because none of this data ever reaches us, we do not act as a data controller or a data processor in respect of anyone using this app.

What the app stores on the device

Stored locally by the app, and never transmitted by it:

This lives in the app's private storage, which only this app can read. Android backup is disabled (allowBackup: false), so this data is not copied to a Google account. Deleting the app deletes all of it. A profile can also be deleted inside the app at any time.

The hero name is free text. Please encourage children to use a nickname rather than a full real name — the app never needs one.

Parent backup

The Parent area can export progress as a text (JSON) file that the parent copies wherever they choose. That file is created only when a parent asks for it, is handed to nobody, and never leaves the device unless the parent moves it. It contains progress only — no contact details and no payment data.

Microphone

The microphone is used for one purpose: the speaking-practice screens, where a child says a word so the app can tell them how close they were.

• Android asks for microphone permission the first time; the app works without it,

minus the speaking exercises.

• The microphone is only active while a practice attempt is running, and stops

when the attempt ends or the child leaves the screen.

• The app does not record, save or transmit audio. No recording is written to

storage, and the app opens no network connection of its own. This was measured, not assumed: during a speech-practice session the app held **zero network sockets**.

• The speech-to-text conversion itself is performed by **the device's own speech

recognition service**, which is part of the operating system, not part of this app. On the device we tested (a Galaxy S20+ running Android 13), recognition ran entirely on the device: with the phone in aeroplane mode and no network of any kind, the microphone still listened for a full session instead of failing, which a service that uploaded audio could not do.

• We cannot promise that for every device. Which recognition service Android uses,

and whether it works offline, depends on the phone, its installed language packs and its settings; on some devices that service may send audio to its provider (typically Google) to recognise it, governed by the device manufacturer's and Google's privacy terms rather than ours. A parent who prefers to rule it out entirely can simply decline the microphone permission — everything else in the app keeps working.

Word pronunciation that the child hears is played from audio files shipped inside the app, so listening involves no network and no third party.

Adverts, analytics, tracking

None. No advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting, no cookies, no advertising identifier, no profiling, and no sharing or selling of data — there is no data to share.

The app also sends no notifications and no e-mail of any kind. We have no mailing list because we have no e-mail addresses.

Who we share data with

Nobody, because we have none. For clarity, since privacy policies for children's apps usually list these: this app has no service providers, no sub-processors, no cloud storage, no authentication provider, no analytics vendor, no advertising partner, no support desk and no e-mail provider that receives anything about a user. No data processing agreements exist because there is no processing to delegate.

The only third party involved at all is the app store you downloaded from, which handles the download and (if paid features are ever added) any payment, under its own privacy terms — not ours.

How long data is kept

There is no retention schedule to publish because nothing is retained by us and nothing expires on its own. Deleting the app removes everything the app stored.

Security

The app's data lives in storage that Android reserves for this app alone, so other apps cannot read it. Nothing is transmitted, so there is no connection to intercept. Android's own backup is disabled, so the data is not copied off the device by the operating system.

Two honest limitations, because a security section that only reassures is not much use:

• The device is the security boundary. Anyone who can unlock the phone can open

the app and see a child's progress. A screen lock is the protection here, and that is yours to set.

• The parent backup file is ordinary readable text. It is not encrypted or

password-protected. It holds progress only — no contact details, no payment data — but if you save it to a shared or cloud folder, treat it as readable by whoever can reach that folder.

Legal frameworks

Because the app collects no personal data and transmits nothing, most obligations that normally apply to a children's app have nothing to attach to. For the avoidance of doubt:

• COPPA (United States). We collect no personal information from children, so no

verifiable parental consent for data collection is required. The notice shown inside the app on first launch serves as a direct notice to the parent about the microphone, which is the only device capability the app asks for.

• GDPR / UK GDPR (EEA and UK), including children's provisions. We are not a

controller or processor of any personal data through this app. No legal basis is needed for processing that does not happen.

• KVKK (Türkiye). No personal data is processed, transferred abroad, or

registered, for the same reason.

If you are in the EEA or the UK and believe otherwise, you may complain to your local data protection authority. In Türkiye, that authority is the Personal Data Protection Authority (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu).

Age

The app is designed for children of roughly 5–12 and is meant to be installed and set up by an adult. There is no minimum age to use it, because using it discloses nothing to anyone. No age or date of birth is ever asked for.

If the app or the company changes hands

There is no user database to sell or transfer, and we could not include one in a sale if we wanted to. If the app itself is ever transferred to a new publisher, this policy will be updated before any change in how the app behaves, and a new publisher's policy could not retroactively reach data that is sitting on your device.

Purchases

The app currently offers no purchases of any kind and no purchase screen is reachable. If paid features are added later, this policy will be updated before they appear, and any purchase will be handled by the app store, which shares no payment details with us.

Children

This app is made for children (roughly ages 5–12) and is intended to be installed and set up by a parent or guardian. Because the app collects no personal data and transmits nothing, there is no data collection for a parent to consent to. The one decision a parent should make deliberately is the microphone permission described above.

The Parent area is protected by a press-and-hold gate so a child does not wander into it.

Your rights

Since we hold no data about anyone, there is nothing for us to show, correct, export or erase — we would have nothing to send you. All data is in the parent's hands: it can be exported from the Parent area and erased by deleting the profile or the app.

If you write to us with a privacy question or request, we will reply within 30 days. If your request concerns data on your own device, our reply can only ever be instructions — we have no copy and no remote access.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published with a new effective date at https://bettyemyak.com/privacy.html.

Kısa özet

Betty & Emyak hesap açmanızı istemez, reklam göstermez, hiçbir analitik veya izleme aracı içermez. Çocuğun yaptığı her şey cihazın içindeki uygulama alanında kalır. Yayıncı olarak bize hiçbir şey ulaşmaz. İstesek de bu uygulamanın tek bir kullanıcısını kimliklendiremeyiz.

Hangi verileri topluyoruz

Hiçbirini. Uygulamanın sunucusu yoktur. Bize veri göndermez, gönderebileceği bir yol da yoktur.

Yayınlanan uygulamada doğrulandı: analitik veya reklam kütüphanesi yok ve paketin içinde hiç dış internet adresi bulunmuyor — bağlanabileceği bir adres yok.

• Kullanım istatistiği veya telemetri toplanmıyor. Uygulamanın nasıl

kullanıldığını toplamıyor, almıyor ve ölçmüyoruz: hiçbir analitik hizmeti yok ve özellikle **Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics veya benzeri hiçbir araç kullanılmıyor.** Olay kaydı, oturum takibi, çökme veya performans raporlaması, A/B testi — hiçbiri yok.

• Sayaçların hiçbiri bize ulaşmıyor. Uygulama, çocuğun kendi ilerlemesini

görebilmesi için sayaç tutar — XP, gün serisi, çalışılan kelime, okunan hikâye, oynanan oyun. Bunların hepsi yalnızca bu cihazın kendi belleğine yazılır, başka hiçbir yere yazılmaz. İletilmez, toplulaştırılmaz, raporlanmaz ve bizim görmemiz mümkün değildir. Yayınlanan kodda doğrulandı: içinde **hiçbir ağ isteği yok** — ne fetch, ne XMLHttpRequest, ne beacon.

• Üyelik ve kullanıcı kaydı yok. Kayıt olma, üye olma, hesap, kullanıcı adı,

şifre, e-posta adresi ve telefon numarası yoktur. Uygulama içindeki "profiller", kardeşlerin ilerlemesi ayrı tutulabilsin diye bu cihaza yazılmış adlardan ibarettir; bizde açılmış hesaplar değildir ve cihaz dışında hiçbir yerde kayıtları bulunmaz.

• Tekil kimlik bilgisi yok. Reklam kimliği, cihaz kimliği, çerez veya parmak izi

yok.

Bu verilerin hiçbiri bize ulaşmadığı için, bu uygulamayı kullanan hiç kimse bakımından veri sorumlusu veya veri işleyen sıfatını taşımıyoruz.

Uygulamanın cihazda tuttukları

Aşağıdakiler yalnızca cihazda tutulur ve uygulama tarafından hiçbir yere iletilmez:

Bunlar yalnızca bu uygulamanın okuyabildiği özel alanda durur. Android yedeklemesi kapalıdır (allowBackup: false), yani bu veriler bir Google hesabına kopyalanmaz. Uygulamayı silmek hepsini siler. Profil, uygulama içinden de her an silinebilir.

Kahraman adı serbest metindir. Çocukların gerçek tam adı yerine bir takma ad kullanmasını öneririz — uygulama gerçek ada hiçbir zaman ihtiyaç duymaz.

Ebeveyn yedeği

Ebeveyn bölümü, ilerlemeyi bir metin (JSON) dosyası olarak dışa aktarabilir ve ebeveyn bu dosyayı istediği yere kopyalar. Bu dosya yalnızca ebeveyn istediğinde oluşur, kimseye iletilmez ve ebeveyn taşımadıkça cihazdan çıkmaz. İçinde sadece ilerleme vardır; iletişim bilgisi veya ödeme verisi yoktur.

Mikrofon

Mikrofon tek bir iş için kullanılır: çocuğun bir kelimeyi söylediği ve uygulamanın ne kadar yakın olduğunu söylediği konuşma alıştırması ekranları.

• Android ilk kullanımda mikrofon izni ister; izin verilmese de uygulama

konuşma alıştırmaları dışında tümüyle çalışır.

• Mikrofon yalnızca bir deneme sürerken açıktır; deneme bitince veya çocuk

ekrandan ayrılınca kapanır.

• Uygulama ses kaydı yapmaz, saklamaz ve iletmez. Cihaza hiçbir kayıt

yazılmaz ve uygulama kendi adına hiçbir ağ bağlantısı açmaz.

• Uygulama ses kaydı yapmaz, saklamaz ve iletmez. Bu varsayım değil, ölçümdür:

bir konuşma alıştırması oturumu boyunca uygulamanın sıfır ağ soketi olduğu ölçüldü.

• Sesin yazıya çevrilmesini cihazın kendi konuşma tanıma servisi yapar; bu

servis işletim sisteminin parçasıdır, bu uygulamanın parçası değildir. Test ettiğimiz cihazda (Android 13 çalışan bir Galaxy S20+), tanıma **tümüyle cihaz üzerinde** çalıştı: telefon uçak modundayken ve hiçbir ağ bağlantısı yokken mikrofon hata vermek yerine bir oturum boyunca dinlemeye devam etti; sesi yükleyen bir servis bunu yapamaz.

• Bunu her cihaz için taahhüt edemeyiz. Android'in hangi tanıma servisini

kullandığı ve çevrimdışı çalışıp çalışmadığı telefona, yüklü dil paketlerine ve ayarlara bağlıdır; bazı cihazlarda bu servis sesi tanıma için sağlayıcısına (genellikle Google) gönderebilir ve bu işleme bizim değil cihaz üreticisinin ve Google'ın gizlilik koşullarına tabidir. Bunu tümüyle dışlamak isteyen ebeveyn mikrofon iznini vermemeyi seçebilir; uygulamanın geri kalanı çalışmaya devam eder.

• Çocuğun duyduğu telaffuz, uygulamanın içinde gelen ses dosyalarından çalınır;

dinlemede ne ağ ne üçüncü taraf vardır.

Reklam, analitik, izleme

Yok. Reklam yok, analitik yok, çökme raporlaması yok, çerez yok, reklam kimliği yok, profilleme yok, veri paylaşımı veya satışı yok — paylaşılacak veri yok.

Uygulama ayrıca hiçbir bildirim göndermez ve hiçbir e-posta atmaz. E-posta adresimiz olmadığı için posta listemiz de yoktur.

Veriyi kimlerle paylaşıyoruz

Kimseyle, çünkü elimizde veri yok. Çocuk uygulamalarının gizlilik metinleri genelde bunları listelediği için açıkça yazıyoruz: bu uygulamanın hizmet sağlayıcısı, alt işleyicisi, bulut depolaması, kimlik doğrulama sağlayıcısı, analitik tedarikçisi, reklam ortağı, destek masası veya kullanıcı hakkında bir şey alan e-posta sağlayıcısı yoktur. Devredilecek bir işleme olmadığı için veri işleme sözleşmesi de yoktur.

İşin içindeki tek üçüncü taraf, indirdiğiniz uygulama mağazasıdır; indirmeyi ve (ileride ücretli özellik eklenirse) ödemeyi kendi gizlilik koşulları kapsamında o yürütür — bizim koşullarımız değil.

Veriler ne kadar süre saklanıyor

Yayınlayacak bir saklama takvimi yok; çünkü bizde hiçbir şey saklanmıyor ve kendi kendine sona eren bir şey yok. Uygulamayı silmek, uygulamanın sakladığı her şeyi kaldırır.

Güvenlik

Uygulamanın verisi, Android'in yalnızca bu uygulamaya ayırdığı alanda durur; başka uygulamalar okuyamaz. Hiçbir şey iletilmediği için dinlenecek bir bağlantı da yoktur. Android'in kendi yedeklemesi kapalıdır, yani veriyi işletim sistemi cihaz dışına kopyalamaz.

İki dürüst sınır — çünkü yalnızca güven veren bir güvenlik bölümünün faydası azdır:

• Güvenlik sınırı cihazın kendisidir. Telefonun kilidini açabilen herkes

uygulamayı açıp çocuğun ilerlemesini görebilir. Buradaki koruma ekran kilididir ve onu kurmak size aittir.

• Ebeveyn yedek dosyası düz, okunabilir metindir. Şifreli veya parola korumalı

değildir. İçinde yalnızca ilerleme vardır — iletişim bilgisi veya ödeme verisi yoktur — ama paylaşılan ya da bulut bir klasöre kaydederseniz, o klasöre erişebilen herkesin okuyabileceğini varsayın.

Hukuki çerçeveler

Uygulama kişisel veri toplamadığı ve hiçbir şey iletmediği için, normalde bir çocuk uygulamasına düşen yükümlülüklerin çoğunun tutunacağı bir dal yoktur. Yine de tereddüde yer bırakmamak için:

• COPPA (ABD). Çocuklardan kişisel bilgi toplamıyoruz; bu nedenle veri toplama

için doğrulanabilir ebeveyn onayı gerekmez. Uygulamanın ilk açılışta gösterdiği bilgilendirme, istediği tek cihaz yetkisi olan mikrofon hakkında ebeveyne yapılan doğrudan bildirim işlevini görür.

• GDPR / UK GDPR (AEA ve İngiltere), çocuklara ilişkin hükümler dâhil. Bu

uygulama üzerinden hiçbir kişisel verinin veri sorumlusu veya işleyicisi değiliz. Gerçekleşmeyen bir işleme için hukuki sebep de gerekmez.

• KVKK (Türkiye). Aynı nedenle hiçbir kişisel veri işlenmez, yurt dışına

aktarılmaz ve VERBİS kaydı gerekmez.

AEA veya İngiltere'deyseniz ve aksini düşünüyorsanız yerel veri koruma otoritenize şikâyette bulunabilirsiniz. Türkiye'de bu otorite **Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu**'dur.

Yaş

Uygulama yaklaşık 5–12 yaş çocuklar için tasarlanmıştır ve bir yetişkin tarafından kurulup ayarlanması beklenir. Kullanmak için bir alt yaş sınırı yoktur, çünkü kullanmak kimseye hiçbir şey açıklamaz. Yaş veya doğum tarihi hiçbir zaman sorulmaz.

Uygulama veya şirket el değiştirirse

Satılacak veya devredilecek bir kullanıcı veritabanı yoktur; istesek de bir satışa dâhil edemezdik. Uygulama ileride yeni bir yayıncıya devredilirse, uygulamanın davranışında bir değişiklik olmadan önce bu politika güncellenir; ayrıca yeni bir yayıncının politikası, cihazınızda duran veriye geriye dönük olarak uzanamaz.

Satın almalar

Uygulamada şu anda hiçbir satın alma yoktur ve satın alma ekranına erişilemez. İleride ücretli özellikler eklenirse, bunlar görünmeden önce bu politika güncellenecektir; satın alma işlemi, bize hiçbir ödeme bilgisi vermeyen uygulama mağazası tarafından yürütülür.

Çocuklar

Bu uygulama çocuklar için (yaklaşık 5–12 yaş) yapılmıştır ve bir ebeveyn ya da vasi tarafından kurulup ayarlanması beklenir. Uygulama kişisel veri toplamadığı ve hiçbir şey iletmediği için ebeveynin onay vermesi gereken bir veri toplama yoktur. Ebeveynin bilinçli karar vermesi gereken tek konu, yukarıda anlatılan mikrofon iznidir.

Ebeveyn bölümü, çocuğun yanlışlıkla girmemesi için basılı tutma kapısıyla korunur.

Haklarınız

Hakkınızda hiçbir veri tutmadığımız için gösterebileceğimiz, düzeltebileceğimiz, aktarabileceğimiz veya silebileceğimiz bir şey yoktur. Tüm veri ebeveynin elindedir: Ebeveyn bölümünden dışa aktarılabilir, profil veya uygulama silinerek yok edilebilir.
